Key Responsibilities

  1. Development and support whole of Government websites, online applications and the intranet.
  2. Applies knowledge of developments to improve service to our clients.
  3. Contribute to the development of the primary websites.
  4. Provide second-line support for the government websites, liaising with the IT service desk and content editors to resolve problems.
  5. Work with clients to gather requirements, advise on web development best practices and contribute to project planning.
  6. Create and maintain software documentation.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Good knowledge and experience of PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap and JavaScript.
  • Experience developing responsive, accessible and standards-compliant websites.
  • Knowledge of web standards and progressive enhancement.
  • Knowledge and experience of software testing, including unit testing, integration testing and user acceptance testing, etc.
  • Experience with developing for template-based web content management systems.
